Hello. Just wanted to drop a quick update here: new videos, things I’m working on, gear stuff and all that….
I just finished updating all my videos for the Cirque Du Soleil audition kit. Basically, when you go to apply for a position with Cirque Du Soleil they want you to perform several songs on camera. I did this a couple of years ago before I got the gig with Cirque Dreams. Now that I’m home I decided to completely redo all my videos with my new gear and my improved video editing skills. I also wanted the opportunity to play the songs better as I do the songs in one take.
So all the new songs are available to check out in my audio-video section.
In the videos I use my 6-string Music Man Bongo bass, my 7-string Conklin GTBD-7, and a couple of Ibanez basses. I think the best sound I got was the one for “Luna” though. That song requires a fretless bass so I was glad I got a chance to finally use my new MTD Kingston Z fretless for this one. I think it sounds really great.
The new Cea Serin album is still being mastered right now and I’m currently working with someone to get the artwork done. The album art will be posted as soon as it’s done.
The next blog post I have coming up on Monday is about how to make your own audition video. So stay tuned for that.
If you want an email notification when new blogs and tutorials go up please subscribe to the list that you’ll find over here on the right. This will only email you when blogs go up, not anything that I write about on the left side, i.e. movie/book reviews and random nonsense that goes on in my head.
