Here are three new videos featuring my brand new NS Design electric upright bass. These videos are part of my new Cirque Du Soleil audition video kit. Enjoy after the jump.
Up first is “Procession” from Corteo. This song uses bowing and pizzicato technique and having to switch between the two fairly quickly. There are also a couple of time change shifts that were a bit awkward to get used to.
The second video is called “Klezmer Moment” and also from Corteo. This is pretty much all finger technique all the way through but you have to be mindful of the changes and arrangement.
The third video is called “Baton” from Ka. This is a very beautiful piece that mainly uses bowing throughout. There’s one part that requires a switch over very quickly and is a bit difficult with the French bow. I might have to switch over to a German bow soon.
