There are several ways to get rid of this, i.e. frequency separation. But, in the video below I’ll show you how to bring that sunburned area of skin back to the original sky tone by using a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer.
In this quick tutorial I’ll show you how to select just the red area, isolate just the red area, bring it back to a normal skin tone, then mask it in so the adjustments don’t affect the rest of the image.
It’s by far one of the best and easiest ways to recover skin tone for those damaging rays of the sun.
